    Drivers who have a lorry driving license (category C with maximum authorised mass of or larger than 7,5 tonnes) and bus (category D with more than 8 passenger seats apart from the driver’s seat)  must have a professional driving license in order to be able to practise their profession.

    In order to obtain a professional license, you must take a written examination after you have succeeded in a practical test.

    The P. Katsaris School prepares you appropriately with seminars and lectures by a qualified instructor with experience in examination questions as well as the content of the practical test.

    In order to obtain a professional license (L) to drive a lorry you must be over 21 years old and for a bus over 24 years old.

    We undertake all necessary procedures in order to obtain a learner  driving license for a bus, lorry and trailer as well as your application for a driving examination so that you do not have to go to the offices of the Road Transport Department yourself. You simply need to fill in the following document.

    • (ΤΟΜ 153Γ).
    • Two colour photographs 40Χ35.

  • Obtaining a learner license

    • A learner license may be obtained at 17 years of age for the AM category (moped with a maximum design speed of not more than 45km/h
    • For categories Β,Β1, Α1, Β+Ε, a learner must be at least 17,5 years old.
    • For categories Γ1, Γ1+Ε, category Στ andΙΒ a learner must be at least 18 years old
    • For categories Γ and Γ+Ε, Δ1, Δ1+Ε, and special category Η, Ζ, Θ a learner must be at least 21 years old.
    • For category Δ, Δ1+Ε, a learner must be at least 24 years old.

    A provisional driving license is valid for one year only and it may be renewed.

    Learner Driving License Renewal

    The relevant documents must be presented by the applicant in person or by a representative at the Road Transport Department offices (headquarters or district offices) or the Citizen Service Centre

    The following must be submitted in order to renew a provisional driving license:

    • Application form, (ΤΟΜ 7Γ).
    • Two recent passport style photographs 40×35
    • Identity card.

    Notes:

    • Applicants for a full driving licence who are more than 70 years old need to submit a Health Certificate. In case the applicant for a provisional driving license renewal is a foreign resident then they need to present a residence permit.
    • People who apply for a renewal of Learner Driving Licence for a category Γ, Γ+Ε, Δ, Δ+Ε, Γ1, Γ1+Ε, Δ1, Δ1+Ε vehicle and special categories Ζ, Η, Θ, are required to hold a Health Certificate, which is valid for 3 months after the date of issue. In case the applicant does not intend to present a Medical Certificate for the categories mentioned above then he/she must complete an affidavit so that the above categories may be removed from his/her driving licence.

    A renewed learner driving licence is valid for one year.

    Issuing a learner driving licence is governed by the Driving Licence Law of 2001 and all its amendments until today.
